Connections between me + Nelson Mandela

It was hard to imagine any sort of connection between myself and an amazingly selfless person such as Nelson Mandela, but then I remembered... He was a person just like me. He didn't have any advantages in fact he had so many disadvantages. Nelson didn't conjure up an idea of being a worldly leader in fact what Nelson did was completely rational.  

Nelson knew that all he could do was move forward things couldn't really be worse.the way I connect to Nelson is through optimism. Nelson was always optimistic through every struggle and obstacle. Although my optimism isn't as prominent as Nelson's I have always tried to look on the bright side in tough times!
