Nelson Mandela was born into the Madiba clan in Mvezo,Transkei on July 18 1918.
Having had his father die at an young age Nelson had to take on more responsibility then the average kid.
Nelson completed his basic schooling and then went on to college, but he was expelled for participating in a student protest. However he manged to get his BA from the university of South Africa.
A few years later a racially based, government fueled group apartheid started to become more dominant.
This group was trying to take away the rights of those who were truly African rather than Caucasian.
Nelson was the head of a large group of non-violent protestors.
During a raid by apartheid with dozens of casualties, Nelson was imprisoned for 38 years until he was released to become the South African president.

Victoria, I like how you gave an overview of his Nelson Mandela's life before listing your 10 facts. I wonder though if all of this is in your own words? For example, do you understand what apartheid was? I do like your conclusion as well. You are correct that he will be remembered for his selfless acts. If you added examples of these, it would strengthen your post.
