Learning Blogs
What did we do?
We got into our groups for our learning blogs and discussed who was going to post on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.. We made a plan by writing our ideas on paper and we all agreed on when we were supposed to do our homework. Once we had talked over and discussed the dates we went back to our desks and watched the video called IDEO.
What was it about?
The video was about a group of adults coming up with a plan to invent or reinvent a shopping cart. They came up with some pretty good ideas. One idea was you could talk to the front desk if you couldn't find what you were looking for in the aisles. Two, was they could scan any grocery item and it would already be paid for. Three, you were able to hang your grocery bags on hooks instead of just putting them inside the cart. They wouldn't have been able to do any of this if they didn't work together as a group and talk to each other about their own ideas.
Connections:
Whatever you do in life remember to always try your best and if you fail on a test say, it will motivate you to do better! I believe if you try your best in school, physical activities and everything else you do, you are going in the right direction!
Homework/Reminders
Post 10 facts about Nelson Mandela. DUE TOMORROW!! (Wednesday)
Don't forget to bring $10 for the adopt a family!
Shallon, this is a much improved learning blog post. I like how you summarized a description of the video that we watched in class. That is one way to keep your reader informed. Suggestion for next time might be to hyperlink to the video or embed it in your post. This way the audience can watch the video and see specifically what you are referring to, without you doing the work for them. I am a little unclear about how your connections came from the video or class discussion - while they are true statements, I cannot remember the part of the video that discussed how failure can motivate you to do your best. Could you clarify? There was also a bit more to do for the post on Mandela - post 10 facts and tell me why the world is celebrating his life. I look forward to seeing your next post.
